Hey there, I'm one of the people who worked on this game and I gotta thank you for playing. However you kinda missed the main mechanic of the game. That mechanic being the rats jump higher when they are closer together. If you want to see how the levels were designed to be played (or not because speedrun) check out this video on the history of we are the rats
